A few months ago – maybe a year – I came across Anna Lubomirska‘s work and fell in love with her Slavic Woman ring. It has haunted me ever since. I guess you can see why!
The ring has a beautiful detailed woman face which is wearing a flower head wreath. So classy and feminine. I want my very own Slavic Woman ring right away. Let’s add this beauty to our wishlist!

The design refers to a classic slavic stylization – woman wearing a floral head wreath. It is a characteristic motive in a long slavic folklore and history. Flower head wreaths were a symbol of purity and closeness to nature. They also defined the beauty of slavic women, just like their long braided hair. The theme has been popular in Polish literature through centuries.

Available in 18K gold (yellow, rose, black). Every flower calyx is embedded with sapphires.

Wondering who’s pretty face this might be? Well, the face is actually inspired by model Daria Werbowy (Vogue Ukraine editorial, 2013).
