Joanna: “The Luna band is a band that I have in my collection and I liked how the Emerald could nestle and be cradled by the ring, symbolic of motherhood and mothering/the role of a protector in general. I chose the Emerald for its color and representation of May.”
“I debated whether I should use a few more diamonds but ultimately I liked the balance of one stone below the Emerald as an accent to the central stone. I used an Old Mine cut Diamond that is approximately 1.7-1.8mm, its a very small stone that I recycled from an antique brooch. It’s hard to see with the naked eye but under a loupe, you can see the beautiful large hand-cut facets and large culet characteristic of this cut.”
I personally love how this ring turned out with all its simplicity. It is gracious, just like every mama is as well.
